LAHORE: Around 600 CNG stations of Punjab remained closed on second day Monday, increasing miseries for the consumers, reported ARY NEWS.
A meeting of all Pakistan CNG Association is scheduled for Monday to chalk out a strategy against the gas load shedding as per announcement by the government, the channel added.
Chairman of All Pakistan CNG Association Ghiyas Paracha told the channel that the increase in the gas prices from Jan 1 would not be accepted by the pump owners. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) is adding to the difficulties of the association by increasing the gas prices, he observed.
Paracha said a special meeting of the association had been called for Monday to decide future plans.
Around 600 CNG stations have been closed down in Lahore, Kasur, Shekhupura and Okara from Sunday for two days in line with load management plan of SNGPL.
Gas supply to CNG stations will resume at 6 am on Tuesday.
