ISLAMABAD: Court proceedings were halted Monday when security alarms echoed the Court Room No 1 of Supreme Court of Pakistan, reported ARY NEWS.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing a NAB appeal case in Court Room No.1 of the Supreme Court when security alarms were rang twice, creating panic among the people and interrupting the case’s proceeding.
On the advice of SC’s staffers the CJ ordered the lawyers and other concerned people present in the court room to evacuate the premises while the honorable judges of the bench also emptied the room and went to their chambers.
Security staffers searched the room and its surroundings for the thing that invoked the alarms. Later, the court resumed the routine affairs and scheduled cases’ proceedings when it was found that the alarm rang due to the irresponsibility of concerned staffers.

ReplyDeleteI think proper security alarm installation should be done in order to prevent such situations in the court premises.
