133rd birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam today

ISLAMABAD: The 133rd birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated in a befitting manner today, ARY News reported.

The change of guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi today. A smartly turned out contingent of the Cadets from Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul mounted the guard at the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam. Lady Cadets are also included in the contingent.

Quaid-e-Azam was the first and only Colonel-in-Chief of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah Academy at Kakul.

The government has declared a public holiday today.
The day dawned with special prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people.


The public leaders and representatives of the three services will also visit the mausoleum to offer Fateha and lay floral wreath. People from various walks of life will also visit the Mazar to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.

Political and social organizations have also chalked out programmes to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.
