ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday announced the schedule of bye polls in NA 123 (Lahore), reported ARY NEWS.The polling on the vacant seat of the National Assembly will be held on March 10, said an announcement by the ECP. The polling for two Punjab assembly’s vacant seats – PP-82 Jhang and PP-284 Bahawalpur – will also be held on the same day, it added.
The Supreme Court on Monday directed the ECP to hold by-elections in the three constituencies within sixty days.
Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and former premier, Mian Nawaz Sharif, is likely to contest in NA-123, the channel added.
